रुद्राक्षं द्वादशास्यं यः कण्ठदेशे तु धारयेत् |
आदित्यस्तुष्यते नित्यं द्वादशास्ये व्यवस्थितः ||
- पद्मपुराण, सृष्टिखण्ड , अध्याय - ५९, श्लोक - १८७.

“The Twelve Adityas (Anshuman, Aryaman, Indra, Tvashta, Dhatu, Parjanya, Pusha, Bhag, Mitra, Varun, Vivasvaan, and Vishnu – the twelve months are based on them) reside in the Twelve Face Rudraksha and the one who wears it in the neck pleases Lord Aditya (the Sun God).”

न च किन्चिद्भयं तस्य न च व्याधिः प्रवर्तते |
न कुतश्चिदभयं तस्य सुखी चैवेश्वरो भवेत् ||

“(The wearer of the Twelve Face Rudraksha) remains free from worries and difficulties, lives undisturbed by illnesses, and lives without fear and phobias. He lives contentedly like God himself.”
